President Barack Obama
The 44th President of the United States

I believe it is fair to wonder about any President, what is their motivation?  No one wants to be President of the United States without wanting something out of it.  Whether it's fame, money, attention, ego, or even the unthinkable; actually wanting to make a difference.  Barack Obama.  What is his motivation?

I should be upfront by saying I was never really a fan of Barack Obama from the start for many reasons.  For starters, he's a lawyer.  If you really want to understand why Congress and the White House have such low approval ratings and simply can't get anything done, it's because more than half of them are just a bunch of lawyers.  So why is it, that we the people consistently vote for people who make a profession out of lying and debating?  Does this make any sense?  I guess it would make sense if you expect the system not to work.  In that case you're in luck.

Can you fathom having a congress made up of business people, scientists, doctors, designers, engineers, and accountants?  Think about the state of the country being run by people that know a thing or two about the very industries they write and design legislation for. However, the reality is we have elected officials that try to solve everything by seeing who can debate, blame and lie the best, including none other than our President.

I was never convinced that Barack Obama wanted to make a positive difference other than proving to the world for himself he, with his name and his background could be elected.  At this point I believe it is out of pure ambition.  Why else would he constantly blame everyone but himself for his own faults.  Upon being elected, Barack Obama promised to make bold changes.  If his bold change was nearly doubling our debt, then heck, this man delivered.  But if I remember correctly, Mr. Obama convinced us all that he could not only have the economy turned around (or at least heading the right direction) in 3 years but also unemployment would be a non-issue thanks to his fancy stimulus.

But wait, it's been nearly 3 years, unemployment as of today is stuck at 9.1%, the markets are up and down, the schools are still failing, Obamacare has made a mess and we're $14 Trillion in debt.  Don't be too quick to blame Obama though!  If you ask him, its Congress's fault.  Really?  Mr. President, you had a Dem-controlled House AND Senate for 2 years, you enjoyed extreme popularity among the populous and it's still not your fault?  You've done nothing wrong?

I await that day in November, the Barack Obama concession speech.  I would hope, for his reputation sake, that for the first time in 4 years, he, as the President of the United States, will hold himself accountable and take responsibility.  The buck stops with you Mr. Obama, the blame game will have to end.
