This...is The Complete Spectrum!

Greetings to all and welcome to The Spectrum.

To kick off this forum, I would like to provide an introduction of myself and how I hope to utilize this platform.

Currently I am a student of Industrial Design at University of Cincinnati's top ranked College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.  At this point in time, I am also a full-time designer at the entertainment design and architecture consultancy Jack Rouse Associates located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati.  During my time in design school I have gained a pretty substantial Liberal Arts education which has shaped many of my views and explanations of the inter-workings of our society today.  Politically, I identify with the Republican party, something that comes as a surprise to many people.  BUT before you decide to write me off for that reason, I will let you know that I am a different kind of Republican.  Today's definition of Republicans and Democrats are so polluted by the antics of politicians.  It's amazing to me how the things that happen today in the major parties are so distant from what the party was intended to be.  I believe that my fiscally conservative, socially liberal ideas are fair game in debate as long as we can all have an open mind (as novel as that may be in an internet setting).

So for now that's enough about me and that brings me to the intent of this.  Generally, there are two ways to promote discussion.  Daily, I will post the latest news I found to be interesting on virtually any topic (however, I have to admit, I have a soft spot for politics).  I will do so by adding my take on the story and from there, I encourage you to share your opinion in hopes that we can all take something away from everyone's point of view.  The other option involves you submitting your own topic of discussion or piece of news you would like to deliver a response to.  From there, let the conversation ensue.

As I stated before, I am completely open to any questions, and my views are all fair game, so don't hold back!

-Ty
